History Help, Inc. was incorporated in 1971 as a 501(c)3 organization. The main purpose has always been to
provide quality, confidential and anonymous telephone crisis intervention
services primarily to the residents of Shasta County. We are grant funded.
Catholic Healthcare West and Prime Healthcare (Shasta Regional Hospital) are
our primary sponsors at this time. We are seeking other sponsors and welcome
Crown Motors to this group. We receive many calls at Helpline and about 5%
are related to suicide. All of our crisis intervention counselors are highly
trained volunteers. They are there to answer the calls 12 hours a day and are
very dedicated individuals. |
